The car ferry operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, allowing you to load your car and drive straight to your accommodation. If you opt for the passenger ferry on a Friday, be prepared to carry your belongings on and off the boat, followed by a walk down the road and up to your rental. We recommend packing a cooler for any perishables and beverages you wish to enjoy. Your home away from home will be set up with fresh linens on the beds, and the kitchen will be equipped with dishes, pans, and utensils. Additionally, consider bringing items like a bike, paddleboard, binoculars, camera, art supplies, a few captivating reads, and a sturdy pair of hiking boots!
How much does it cost?
The rate per night is $250. (We offer a $25 per night discount for Pastors) All stays will have a $90 cleaning fee. Please reach out to us below for availability or use the "Book Your Stay" page on this website.

Nearby Airports?
When planning your trip you have three airport options to consider for reaching the Bass Harbor ferry terminal or private boat to Frenchboro: Bar Harbor Airport, Bangor Airport, and Portland Airport. Bar Harbor is the nearest airport, but it's often pricier and has limited rental car availability. Most travelers prefer Bangor Airport due to its affordability and the presence of standard car rental services. Alternatively, Portland Airport is available, but expect a much longer drive to your destination.
